The syllabus covered is derived from Title 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 56, which deals with a range of health and safety standards for surface mines.

Every miner should ensure that all safety standards are strictly followed. While employers should ensure that workers are well informed and supervised for compliance, supervisors should give proper training to workers to make them follow MSHA and OSHA regulations.

Course Overview

This online training course satisfies the training requirements of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) principles which standardize safe operations and maintenance of heavy haulage equipment.

MSHA comes under the purview of United States Department of Labor (DOL), which enforces the provisions set forth in the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (also known as Mine Act). MSHA ensures that mine sites adhere to the provisions as per Mine Act in letter and spirit so as to reduce accidents, losses and injuries.

The training module satisfies the procedures as mentioned in Title 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations (30 CFR), Part 56, which prescribes safety and health standards to be followed at surface mines.
