    Hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) study is the systematic approach to assessing hazards and their related risks, which helps in deriving objective measures of recognizing the hazards and implementing the techniques that could help in managing the risks.

    Risk Assessment Methodology

    Risk Assessment Methodology is a unique process intended for risk management and improving safety in various types of industries. This methodology helps in obtaining a quantitative assessment of potential risks and determining whether the levels of risks are acceptable. For those risks that are unacceptable, the process will include assessments and recommendations for risk control measures.

    HAZID Methodology

    Hazard Identification Study (HAZID) is a structured and documented method to identify and analyze hazards in the workplace. The purpose of this systematic assessment is to gain insights based on the recognition of hazards and find out the adverse effects when exposed to a hazard and also provide recommendations for mitigating risks. This is divided into four major sections that in turn include various categories. The common categories are:

    Section 1: External and Environmental Hazard;
    Section 2: Facility Hazards;
    Section 3: Health Hazards and
    Section 4: Assess Risks to:

    People
    Asset /Production
    Environment

    The identified and known hazards are sorted and evaluated within the risk matrix in order to realize the risk importance, based on the ranking of risks safeguarding measures will be provided and finally, suggestions will be given out which will help in avoiding the potential hazards.
