The assessment for the NEBOSH General Certificate is done via a 2-step process:
IG1: It’s an online open book exam (OBE)
IG2: Practical risk assessment (workplace-based)
Learners have to pass in both assessments to successfully complete the qualification.
The 2-hour written exam for Unit IG1 is replaced by the open book exam of the NEBOSH General Certificate.
Learners can appear for both of the NEBOSH exams at their own place.
Course Duration:
The National General Certificate involves at least 68 taught hours and 40 hours of private study (approximately).

NEBOSH National General Certificate holders become entitled to:
Affiliate Membership, AIOSH of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The qualification fulfils academic needs for Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH, relevant experience is required.
