The Level 2 Award in HACCP for Manufacturing is a certification course for students and working professionals. It is formulated and accredited by High field Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), a U.K-based awarding committee in the field of food manufacturing.

Overview of the Course:

The one day training program enables students to get acquainted with food safety principles under Codex HACCP, and can independently handle adverse conditions when critical safety barriers are breached in food manufacturing environment. They also trained to adhere to international and local safety standards to achieve highest food quality.

Participants are trained to understand the importance of bringing safe and secure food items to public domain, and are capable of devising, introducing and implementing strict quality control measures in food manufacturing environment. They can also sensitize employees who are directly or indirectly involved in food manufacturing, about the importance of personal hygiene and keeping the surroundings clean to make eatables free from impurities. Students are also provided additional information about legal and other formalities in the event of adversities and are trained adequately to thwart any unforeseen condition in manufacturing units.

L 2 Manufacturing:

The Level 2 Award in HACCP for manufacturing course can be studied by those who are already working in a food manufacturing environment or students who aspire to become food safety experts. The course prepares students to comply strictly with HACCP principles in food manufacturing environment.

Since the course is highly specific, those who want to join should first complete HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety, or its equivalent, in order to get better grip on the subject.

Apart from this, there are no other prerequisites to join this course. Since the medium of instruction and written examination are going to be in English, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy, numeracy or equivalent in language.

This is a one day programme

At the end of the training session, students will be subjected for a written examination which will have multiple choice questions.
After successful completion of level 2 Award in HACCP for Manufacturing, students can opt to go for following higher studies in food safety domain
