August 15, 1947 is the day engraved in gold in the history of India. The immense dream of our freedom fighters, nationalists, and revolutionaries was realized on this day. In 2018, we are celebrating our 72nd Independence Day with a lot of excitement and adventure. There were many leaders who sacrificed their lives for the independence of India.The struggle for Independence united all the people belonging to different castes, classes and beliefs into a single nation. Women also came out of their houses and took part in the freedom struggle and contributed greatly to the success of our freedom movement.

The day is celebrated with great patriotism and people pay homage to the thousands of lives laid down by great men and women, It also reminds us that our forefathers have done their duty well . Now it our duty how do we shape and form the future of our country.

We have achieved political freedom, we are yet to achieve economic and social freedom. Many economic ills and social bottlenecks continue to throttle our people. Therefore, a great deal of work remains to be done in order to be free and independent in the true sense.

India is a 71 years old country, but is still very young, highly energetic and is working enthusiastically towards its betterment. There still might be a lot of scope for infrastructure, better education and economic policies, foreign and defence strategies, even thought-process of certain section of society, but one cannot ignore the developments that led us to make a mark in numerous areas at global level. Despite such a vast diversity we are a single nation and this feeling of unity is increasing with each passing day.
